Message From The Chairperson

Pauline Lynch

Hello,

My name is Pauline lynch, I am presently a trade embalmer serving counties Kildare, Laois and Offaly.

I returned to education as a mature student and spent 3 years studying with Deathcare Academy which gave me the opportunity to train and expand my skills and knowledge in the UK. I returned home where I successfully achieved my Embalming qualification thus becoming a trade embalmer to serve and care for our families here in Ireland.

I previously served as vice chairperson for the Association from 2017-2019 and Chairperson from 2019 to 2023 when our country and the rest of the world was faced with a pandemic which brought a lot of uncertainty.

The PEAI obtained all information from the HSE and the World Health Organisation with direct communication to and from our Association. Our members were updated with precautions developments and best practice protocols which thankfully kept our members safe.

I have represented our Association in Europe since 2022 attending meetings conducted by the European Association of Embalmers. In addition, I have successfully obtained membership with FIAT-IFTA for our association, making PEAI the sole embalming association in the world to gain acceptance into this prestigious organisation.

I am looking forward to supporting the continued growth of the PEAI and its members and as chairperson, endeavour to achieve our goals in this regard.

The PEAI endeavours to provide support to its members. We are focused in promoting education and in encouraging members to keep up to date with developments in embalming in Ireland and worldwide. The association is affiliated to FIAT-IFTA and the European Association of Embalmers (EAE).

Every member is expected to abide with the PEAI Code of Practice and the Code of Conduct which insists on professional conduct and practice for all members.  You can find more details regarding membership, and you may download forms in our website. You may also complete an online contact form for other queries.

Having now firmly established ourselves as the bearers of the highest standards in embalming, we continue to see new opportunities for growth- professionally, personally and business wise. Being professional embalmers, our values are the core to our practice.
